Testing comes after hearing your health story.

Pathology

Pathology results from your medical practitioner. This includes blood and tissue testing as well as scanning results.

Iridology

Iridology is the study of the colours and signs of the iris. Used for many years by alternative health practitioners and can give quite an insight into the body. I sometimes use a photo of the eye when we are doing an online consult, but I may also ask you to look into a mirror and answer a few questions. In the clinic I use a handheld magnifying glass to look a little deeper.

Tongue and Nail Diagnosis

The tongue tells me primarily about your digestion. Colour of the tongue, coating and marks all mean something to me, and is your body telling you what is out of balance. The nails can reflect mineral deficiency, digestion, respiratory disease and even melanoma.

Various Health Questionnaires

I have a series of questionnaires that can help us get to the bottom of our health story. Questions often remind us of little things we have forgotten or symptoms we hadn’t even realised were a problem. Did you know that hot flashes can be a symptom of menopause, stress/adrenal function or a thyroid imbalance?

Blood Microscopy

This in-clinic test is $85 and you can see your blood on the screen! I also use dry blood screening for another fascinating peek. Looking at the blood cells and plasma can indicate how the immune system is functioning, mineral and vitamin deficiency, inflammation and infection.

Hair Testing 600+ items

Have you considered that the food you eat and the cleaning products you use in your house and on your body may have an impact upon your health? There is a big difference between an allergy and sensitivity. For me, eggs, tomatoes, coffee and chicken can bring on aches and pains in my body, but I am not allergic to them. With a sample of your hair, taken from the end, we can determine which foods are best eliminated or kept to a minimum to ensure your optimal health. This testing costs $297 for clients and $327 for non-clients. It includes a phone call to discuss your results and how to use them.

Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis

Hair testing for minerals is widely accepted alongside blood testing. Research has shown that hair tissue is useful in indicating nutrient imbalances and exposure to toxic elements. If your health, diet or environment has created a mineral imbalance or toxic mineral excess, it will be recorded in the hair shaft. Signs are observed about your mental health and nervous system, liver and kidneys, diabetes and insulin resistance, energy, thyroid and adrenal health, cardiovascular health and fatigue and endurance. The cost is $280 + follow-up appointment.

Salivary and Urine Hormone Testing

Interestingly these results for hormones appear to be far more accurate and detailed than blood tests. These tests are able to discern between types of oestrogen which all play different roles in the body and have differing levels of requirement. The dance of the hormones becomes very clear with these tests. Prices vary depending on what we ask for, and range from $150.

Functional laboratory testing

We are able to request most pathology if it is not available through your GP. This includes thyroid and its antibodies, chemicals, hormones, gut and digestive testing, vitamin and mineral levels. We use several private laboratories.
